Commonly breeds in woodland , parks and gardens. Northern populations migrate to Western Europe. Nests in bushes, on garden trellis behind logs etc. Feeds on earthworms, insects and berries.

The Blackbirds stay mostly on the grass under the feeding station. They pick up any crumbs dropped by the birds feeding from the bowl. Copyright Peter Drury 2011
