Range: N. Africa, South & Central Europe, Middle East, Turkey, Iran, Central West Asia, Central & Southern Urals.
Flight Period: Polyvoltine. Migrants from the South only appearing in Central Europe. Migratory.
Habitat: Diverse. Most habitat types. More common in warm/hot places with abundance of flowers.
Larval host plant: A wide range of genera and species of Fabacceae. Ova laid on upperside of leaves. Larvae continue to feed and develop over winter. Those in central and northern Europe probably succumb to the cold.
