Langstone Harbour lies between Portsmouth (to the West) and Hayling Island (to the East).
Farlington Marshes (Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust reserve) is to the North, Broadmarsh is to the East adjoining Farlington Marshes. The Hermitage stream flows between Broadmarsh and Southmoor (SSSI site). Mill stream flows into Langstone Harbour and seperates Southmoor from Langstone.

It's high tide in the harbour. The boat is in the shallows near the shore and there is just about enough time to rustle up a meal. Note how the chimney is taking away the smoke and fumes to keep the confines of the galley comfortable. The bulldog meanwhile knows his turn for food will come as it basks in the sun on the cabin roof,
