This bird already has a pale eye, a lot of grey on the mantle and a lot of pale on the bill, adult features abscent from 1st winter juveniles.

    Thank you. This bird had dived into the lagoon several times. I had hoped to catch the dive but, as my luck usually runs, it had already caught what it was after and flew off after this shot. Been trying to work out what is in its beak.
