Evacanthus interruptus

A large and very striking yellow and black leafhopper which is unmistakable. The black patterning is variable and rarely the forewings are entirely yellow. The wings are distinctly shorter than the abdomen in females. It is fairly common throughout the UK and found widely in grasslands and scrub.
Adult: June to October, Length 5.5-6.5 mm
