Kidney vetch (Anthyllis vulneraria). Copyright Peter Drury 2010<br />
This plant has always fascinated me. It starts off with a single stem and an inconspicuous group of brown buds. When it starts to flower, it is amazing. Full of rich colours and textures. The flowering head is also the food source of one of my favourite butterflies - The Little Blue.
