A simple wooden vice holds the workpiece. The jaws are held shut by applying pressure with the feet.
  • 10 July 2011 Woodcraft fair 2011. Mobile saw mill in action.
  • 10 July 2011 Woodcraft fair 2011. Mobile saw mill in action.<br />
Ideal to take into the forest and cut the timber without the additional eonomic and environmental costs of trucking the tree trunks to the saw mill. The saw dust and bark become ideal habitats for invertebrates which provide an additional souce of food for the birds etc. Over time, the rotting timber returns nutrients etc to the soil. A win win.
